As much as keeping you dry, cool and comfortable whilst running Ronhill also wants to ensure that you keep safein the summer sun.The lovely warm glow from the sun can make us feel invigorated and energetic but without the appropriate clothing and creamsthe sun can cause painful sunburns and lead to serious health conditions. To stay safe we have developed a number of products in fabrics that have a very high defence to the suns rays. 3 of our womens tops(vest, short-sleeved & long-sleeved crews) have a sun protection factor of 50.Ronhill also recommends that you also apply sun creams and lotions on exposed skin. Ensure that you apply the correct amount to give the protectionspecified. It is recommended that you re-apply your sun protection every 1-2 hours or whenever necessary.SPF stands for sun protection factor and is the laboratory measure of the effectiveness of sunscreen. The higher the SPF, the more protection the sunscreenoffers against UV-B the ultraviolet radiation that causes sunburn. In practice, the protection from a particular sunscreen depends on factors such as your skin type, amount and frequency of reapplication and the level of activityyou reach. Therefore it is always good to seek advice and guidance from you doctor or local pharmacist.
